Paul Hefting

Paulus Hendrik (Paul) Hefting (1933–2018) was a Dutch art historian, author, and curator. He graduated from Utrecht University in 1962 and initially worked as a curator at the Kröller-Müller National Museum. Hefting was a noted expert on the works of George Hendrik Breitner, on whom he earned his doctorate in 1970. He served as the editor-in-chief of Museumjournaal and was involved in various curatorial roles, including those for the National Museum of Art and the Dienst voor Esthetische Vorming of the PTT. He also served on several juries for art prizes and contributed extensively to publications regarding Dutch design, postmarks, and painting.[1]
