Report from a South American republic Frimangron in Paramaribo, which is the area at the border of Drambrandersgracht.
Frimangron is a significant photographic work by Dutch photographer Willem Diepraam, published in 1975 by De Arbeiderspers. The book serves as a visual reportage of Suriname during the period immediately preceding the country's independence from the Netherlands. It features approximately one hundred photographs that capture the social conditions and atmosphere of the republic. The publication includes text by Gerard van Westerloo and layout design by Jan van Toorn, with additional design contributions from Marten Rozenbeek. This first photo book by Diepraam is noted for its documentation of a specific historical transition in South America.
