Agnès Sire

Agnès Sire is a French curator and author specializing in the history of photography. She holds a doctorate in philosophy and aesthetics. After working at the Alexandre Iolas gallery in Paris, she joined Magnum Photos as Artistic Director, where she spent twenty years before becoming the Director of the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson in 2004. Sire is a prolific author and curator who has edited numerous collective books for Magnum and organized many exhibitions worldwide. Her work often focuses on the legacy of iconic photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson and the broader history of visual culture.[1,2]
