Gonzalo Leiva Quijada

Gonzalo Leiva Quijada is a Chilean historian, philosopher, and art critic. He holds a doctorate in the history of civilizations from EHESS in Paris and completed a post-doctorate at New York University. His academic work focuses on aesthetics, photography, visual culture, and Latin American history. He has published numerous works on the history of photography and the art of Latin America, including studies on Chilean photography during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Leiva Quijada is a professor at the Instituto de Estética at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago and has lectured extensively on visual memory and cultural heritage.[1,2,3]
