Alain Sayag

author

Alain Sayag is a curator who played a pivotal role in the development of David Hockney's photographic practice. He convinced Hockney to mount a major exhibition of his photographs at the Centre Pompidou in Paris in 1982. Sayag was instrumental in encouraging Hockney to experiment with composite Polaroids, which allowed the artist to explore perspectival disparities and Cubist-inspired spatial arrangements in photography.[1,2]
