Alexander Lavrentiev is a Russian scholar, curator, and professor specialized in the history of design and photography. The grandson of the pioneering avant-garde artists Alexander Rodchenko and Varvara Stepanova, he is a leading authority on their artistic legacy. He graduated from the Moscow Higher School of Art and Industry (Stroganov Academy) in 1976 and has served as a professor at the Stroganov Academy since 1994. His work involves the curation of the Rodchenko-Stepanova archives and extensive research into Russian Constructivism.[1,4]
