Varvara Fedorovna Stepanova was a prominent Russian artist and designer, a central figure in the Constructivist and Productivist movements of the early Soviet era. Born in Lithuania, she received her artistic education at the Kazan Art School, where she met her husband and collaborator Alexander Rodchenko.
