André Príncipe is a Portuguese photographer, filmmaker, and publisher based in Lisbon. Born in Porto in 1976, he studied Psychology at the University of Porto and graduated from the Lisbon School of Theatre and Cinema (Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema) in 2001. He co-founded the artist-run photobook publishing house Pierre von Kleist editions with José Pedro Cortes. Príncipe has been exhibiting regularly since 2004, focusing on themes that explore narratives, diaries, and the relationship between the photographer and the subject. His work often bridges the gap between still photography and moving images.[1,2,3,4,5]
