active 1964–present

Andy Sabisch is a veteran technical author and expert in the field of metal detecting. He began his hobby in 1964 with a Viking BFO detector as a Christmas gift from his parents. Over more than 50 years of experience, he has become a respected figure in the community, known for producing model-specific handbooks that serve as comprehensive guides for high-end detectors. His work is characterized by thorough explanations of controls and techniques gathered from experienced users hunting coins, relics, jewelry, and gold. He lives in Jackson, Mississippi (relocated in 2020 from Monroe, Michigan) and has traveled extensively across the United States, Europe, Africa, and the Far East for treasure hunting.[1,2]
