Bernard (Benno) Wissing was a Dutch designer, painter, graphic artist, and architect. He studied fine arts at the Rotterdam Academy starting in 1941. In 1949, he began his career as an independent designer, working for cultural institutions such as the Boijmans Museum in Rotterdam. He is well-known for his work in graphic design, spatial design, and industrial design. In 1963, he was one of the founders of the influential Dutch design agency Total Design, alongside Wim Crouwel and Friso Kramer.[1,4,5,6]
