Violette Cornelius

Violette Cornelius was a Dutch photographer and resistance fighter during World War II. After immigrating to the Netherlands in 1938, she studied at the New Arts School in Amsterdam. During the German occupation, she was involved in clandestine activities, including the production of underground magazines. Post-war, she specialized in architectural photography and was noted for her work on social subjects and her collaboration with other prominent photographers of the era.[1]
