Charles H. Traub

Charles H. Traub (born 1945) is an American photographer, educator, and writer. He is a prolific documentary photographer whose work spans street-portraiture, travel, and social commentary. He has been a long-time faculty member at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he serves as the Chair of the MFA Photography and Related Media Department. His photography has been published in numerous publications, including Fortune, Newsweek, and The New Yorker. He is also a noted educator, having taught at various institutions and authored several books on the craft of photography. His notable projects include 'Dolce Via: Italy in the 1980s' and 'The Education of the Photographer'.
