Claude Nori is a French photographer and publisher born in 1949 in Toulouse to parents who emigrated from Italy. He discovered photography during the May '68 events in France. In 1974, he moved to Paris where he established Contrejour, which served as a newspaper, an editing house, and a gallery in Montparnasse, becoming a significant hub for contemporary photography. Nori is recognized as a Mediterranean photographer who has published numerous artist's books and collaborated on the magazine Camera International starting in 1984. His work often captures the atmosphere of the Mediterranean coast and Italian life.[1,2]
