Diana Blok

photographer

Diana Blok is a Dutch studio photographer born in Montevideo, Uruguay. The daughter of a Dutch diplomat and an Argentinean mother, she lived in Uruguay, Mexico, and Guatemala before moving to the Netherlands in 1974. Her work often explores themes of identity, family ties, and emotional intimacy through artistic nude portraiture. She describes her photography as a ritual where memory and reverie are made visible, creating what she calls 'spiritual connective tissue' between subjects. Her notable series include 'Bloodties & other bonds', which features portraits of her close circle and family members.[1]
