Erik Kessels is a Dutch photographer, author, and designer based in Amsterdam. He is the founder of KesselsKramer Publishing, a creative publishing house known for its 'unorthodox' and 'legendary' approach to photography and art books. Kessels is recognized for his work on the 'In Almost Every Picture' series, which explores the intimacy and behavior of people in family photo albums. His work often deals with the concept of the 'found' image and the emotional weight of personal archives. He has been involved in numerous high-profile advertising campaigns and art collaborations, including works with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Marlene Dumas. His publications cover a diverse range of subjects, from personal photo collections and zines to books on photography theory and 'Useful Photography' manuals.[1,2,3,4,5,6]
