Gerard Peter (G.P.) Hoefnagels was a Dutch criminologist and legal scholar who served as a professor of criminology and juvenile law in Rotterdam. He held various positions within the Dutch judicial system, including work with the war council and the guardianship board in the 1950s. A prominent public figure, he also served as a senator for the D66 party from 1987 to 1995. Beyond his academic and political career, Hoefnagels was known for his contributions to popular science literature regarding marriage, divorce, and criminal justice.[1,3,4]
