Halwart Schrader is a prominent German journalist, automotive historian, and author, widely regarded as the founder of German-language classic car publishing. Born in Braunschweig and raised in Berlin, he began his career documenting automotive history in the 1960s. He founded his own publishing house for automobile literature in 1973 with his wife Mila Schrader. From 1974 to 1985, he served as the editor of 'Automobil- und Motorrad-Chronik', the first German magazine dedicated to classic automobiles. He has authored or co-authored over 200 specialized books and is a member of the Guild of Motoring Writers.[1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11]
