John Heartfield

John Heartfield (born Helmut Herzfelde) was a German photographer and artist known for his political photomontages. He is often cited as one of the first to use photography as a weapon against fascism in the Weimar Republic. His work included significant contributions to radical publishing, including providing nine photographs for Alex Wedding's 'Eddie and the Gipsy'.[1,2]
