Karel Petrus Cornelis de Bazel (1869–1923) was a prominent Dutch architect, designer, and woodcut artist. He began his career as an apprentice to a carpenter before studying architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Den Haag. De Bazel is renowned for his visionary designs that blended modernism with traditional craftsmanship, notably his work for the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij in Amsterdam. His artistic contributions include significant woodcuts and graphic designs, often characterized by their geometric precision and expressive character.
