Lou Lichtveld

Lou Lichtveld (later known by the pseudonym Albert Helman) was a Dutch writer and pioneer in the field of sound film. Between 1928 and 1933, he served as a consultant for the Nederlandsche Filmliga, notably working on films by Joris Ivens. He is best known for his critical essays on early cinema, particularly 'De geluidsfilm' (The Sound Film), published in 1933, which explored the technical and artistic implications of sound in moving pictures.[1,2,3,4]
