Maarten Kloos

Maarten Kloos is a Dutch architect, publicist, and critic. He is best known as the co-founder and director of ARCAM (Architectuur Centrum Amsterdam), which he established in 1986 to coordinate architectural debate and exhibitions in the Amsterdam region. Kloos studied architecture at the Delft University of Technology and worked for several prominent architects before becoming a leading figure in Dutch architectural criticism. He has served on numerous juries for international awards such as Europan and Prix du Moniteur, and he is recognized for his extensive contributions to publications regarding urban development and spatial planning.[1,2,3,4,5]
