Michaël Ferron

photographer

Michaël Ferron is an Amsterdam-based photographer and artist who describes himself as an 'outsider' in both photography and art. With over 30 years of experience, he uses virtuoso technique and light as a lubricant to bring underlying ideas to the surface. His work is heavily influenced by the perfectly finished still lifes of Irving Penn and the conceptual traditions of the visual arts. His photography is noted for its fantasy, humor, and unconventional use of light and color, with a particular focus on still life, conceptual projects, and artistic interpretations of classical themes.[1,3]
