Michael Shulan is an American writer, curator, and former creative director of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. He began his career as a writer and owner of a storefront on Prince Street in New York City, where he initiated a photography project in 2002 that eventually led to the book 'Here is New York: A Democracy of Photographs'. Shulan is recognized for his role in conceptualizing the 9/11 museum's narrative and for his work in exploring the visual memory of the attacks.
