Narelle Autio

Narelle Autio is an Australian photographer and visual artist. She graduated with a degree in Visual Arts from the University of South Australia in 1990. Her career began as a photojournalist for the Adelaide Advertiser before she traveled extensively to the United States and England, working for various newspapers. She returned to Australia in 1998 and worked as a staff photographer for The Sydney Morning Herald until 2003. Autio is known for her vibrant images of Australian coastal life and outback scenery, often focusing on the human body's relationship with water. She has won numerous awards, including the Walkley Award and several international prizes from Leica.[1,3]
