Paul Snoek
author
Paul Snoek (1933–1981) was a prominent Belgian poet, writer, and painter. Born Edmond Schietekat in Sint-Niklaas, he became a central figure in the Flemish literary scene of the mid-20th century. He was associated with the avant-garde magazine 'Gard Sivik' and was known for his provocative style and bravura performances. His work often explored metaphysical themes, nature, and human existence. Despite being a significant cultural figure in Flanders, he is sometimes noted for his complex relationship with the broader Dutch literary canon.[1,2,3]
