Peter Galassi

Peter Johnston Galassi is an American writer, curator, and art historian specializing in photography. He began his professional involvement with The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) as a curatorial intern in 1974. He served as the Chief Curator of Photography at MoMA from 1991 to 2011, during which time he organized over forty exhibitions, including major shows on Henri Cartier-Bresson and Jeff Wall.[1,2]
