Peter Nijhof

Peter Nijhof is a Dutch publicist and a prominent expert in industrial heritage. Since the 1970s, he has been a leading advocate for the preservation of industrial monuments and infrastructure in the Netherlands, a field that received little attention at the time. He served as the chairman of the Federation of Industrial Heritage Netherlands (FIEN) and has authored numerous books on the history of Dutch water management, industrial sites, and architectural preservation. He was knighted in the Order of Orange-Nassau for his pioneering work in heritage conservation.[1,2,3]
