Ralph Ginzburg
author
Ralph Ginzburg (1929–2006) was an American editor, publisher, journalist, and photographer. He is best known for his work in the fields of art, culture, and erotica, particularly through his publications Eros, Fact, and Avant Garde. His career was marked by significant legal battles regarding obscenity laws, most notably Ginzburg v. United States, which led to a federal prison sentence but also cemented his role as a provocative figure in American publishing history. He frequently collaborated with graphic designer Herb Lubalin, whose distinctive visual style defined the aesthetic of many of Ginzburg's magazines. Beyond his editorial work, he was an active photographer and journalist who explored contemporary culture through various media.[5,6,7]
