Anthon Beeke

Antonie Johannes Beeke (1940–2018) was a prominent Dutch graphic designer who began his independent practice in 1963. He became known for his provocative and visually striking work, particularly his theater posters and public space interventions. In 1976, he became a partner at the well-known agency Total Design in Amsterdam before establishing his own studio, Studio Anthon Beeke, in 1981. Beeke was also an influential educator, heading the Man and Communication department at the Design Academy Eindhoven from 1985 to 2008. His work often explored the intersection of design, communication, and public provocation.[1,2,3,4]
