Rebecca Norris Webb is an American photographer and poet known for her hybrid personal documentary form that interweaves photographs with spare text. Born in Rushville, Indiana, she moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota at age 15. She graduated from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism in 1989. Her work often explores themes of memory, history, and reverie through a lyrical lens. Webb has received numerous awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship (2007) and an NEA grant (2019). Her photographs have been featured in publications such as The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, and National Geographic. She frequently collaborates with her husband and creative partner, photographer Alex Webb.[1,2,3]
