Robert Lebeck (1929–2014) was a notable German photojournalist and collector. He became a significant figure in German photojournalism since the 1950s, documenting contemporary history. Beyond his creative work, he was a major collector of 19th-century photographs, assembling a significant collection titled 'The Image of Man in the 19th Century.' This collection is now held in part by the Museum Ludwig in Cologne and was the subject of the 1996 publication 'Alles Wahrheit! Alles Luge!'[1,2]
