Sander Troelstra

Sander Troelstra is a Dutch photographer specializing in portrait and documentary photography. He studied at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam from 2008 to 2011. Troelstra gained significant recognition for his project on Cor Jaring, which resulted in the exhibition 'COR WAS HERE' (2015) and the book of the same name. His work is characterized by a sensitive and intimate approach to human subjects, often exploring themes of freedom, transience, and survival. He has won multiple Zilveren Camera awards for his portraits and documentary work, including the National Portrait Prize in 2016.[1,2,3]
