Sarah Greenough is an American curator and author who serves as the Senior Curator and Head of the Department of Photographs at the National Gallery of Art. She began her career in photography curation in 1986, becoming the gallery's first research curator of photography. She has been instrumental in cataloging the Alfred Stieglitz Collection and curating major retrospectives of his work. Her scholarship focuses on the intersection of photography, modern art history, and the cultural significance of early 20th-century visual media.[3,4]
