V. Zakharchenko was a Soviet author and editor involved in the production of state-sanctioned historical and propaganda literature during the mid-20th century. He is credited with providing text for 'Time, Events, People: Chronicle of forty glorious years 1917-1957', a major publication celebrating the 40th anniversary of the October Revolution.
