A Dutch-language monograph on Bernard F. Eilers, a pictorialist known for Amsterdam views, portraits and still lifes, issued with 30 loose colour and black-and-white prints.
Amsterdam views, portraits and still lifes by Bernard F. Eilers (1878–1951), a Dutch photographer and lithographer who worked in the pictorialist manner. His atmospheric Dutch scenes draw on Golden Age painting, and he was a pioneer of colour photography, developing a three-colour process he called Foto-chroma Eilers. The book is a monograph in the series on the history of Dutch photography, presenting Eilers as an art and reproduction photographer. Harry Talsma carried out the research and photo selection, and the Dutch-language text includes a bibliography. As issued, the set comprises a 40-page booklet, a folding overview sheet and 30 loose photographs in colour and black and white.
