Bagara is a significant photobook by Dutch photographer and filmmaker Ed van der Elsken, published in 1958. The work documents his journey through the interior of Central Africa (Equatorial Africa) during the late 1950s. It features a selection of thousands of photographs taken during this period, primarily in black and white but including some color images. The book is noted for its raw portrayal of African life and vitality. It includes a text booklet featuring interviews with van der Elsken conducted by journalist Jan Vrijman.
