Christian Caujolle

Christian Caujolle (1953–2025) was a French journalist, photo agent, curator, and historian of photography. A student of notable intellectuals such as Michel Foucault, Roland Barthes, and Pierre Bourdieu, he served as a picture director for the newspaper Libération. In 1986, he founded Agence VU (VU' Agency) and later served as the artistic director of Galerie VU. He was a pivotal figure in the French photography scene, recognized for his intellectual approach to the medium, his ability to identify emerging talent, and his significant contributions to contemporary photographic discourse and curation.[1,2,3]
