Daido Moriyama is a leading figure in Japanese photography, best known for his black-and-white street photography and his association with the avant-garde magazine Provoke. After training as a graphic designer in Osaka, he moved to Tokyo in 1961 and became an assistant to Eikoh Hosoe.
