Yutaka Takanashi

Yutaka Takanashi (born 1935) is a Japanese photographer known for his depiction of Tokyo's urban landscape and transformation. He was a founding member of the avant-garde photography collective Provoke in 1968, where he contributed to the magazine's grainy, blurred aesthetic that captured the atmosphere of post-war Japan. Takanashi won several prestigious awards early in his career, including the Japan Photo Critics Association Newcomer Award and the Biennale de Paris Grand Prix for Photography.[1,3,4]
