Henk Hofland

Henk Hofland (1927–2016) was a prominent Dutch journalist, columnist, and essayist. He began his career in 1953 at the Algemeen Handelsblad and later served as its editor-in-chief from 1968 to 1972. Known for his balanced opinions and unique style of 'New Journalism,' he was voted 'Journalist of the Century' in the Netherlands in 1999. He authored numerous books on Dutch politics, history, and social issues. His work often explored the intersection of personal experience and historical context.[1,2]
