Henk Hofland (1927–2016) was a prominent Dutch journalist, columnist, and essayist. He began his career in 1953 at the Algemeen Handelsblad and later served as its editor-in-chief from 1968 to 1972. Known for his balanced opinions and unique style of 'New Journalism,' he was voted 'Journalist of the Century' in the Netherlands in 1999.
