John Gossage

John Gossage is an American photographer and artist book maker known for his conceptually driven work exploring under-recognized elements of the urban environment, such as abandoned tracts of land, debris, garbage, and graffiti. He studied with masters including Lisette Model, Alexey Brodovitch, and Bruce Davidson. Based in Washington, D.C., Gossage has exhibited internationally since 1963 and is recognized for his intellectually engaging and subversive approach to contemporary photography.[1,2]
