Kees Broos

author

Kees Broos was a Dutch art historian who specialized in graphic design, photography, and the works of artists such as Piet Zwart and Dieter Roth. He began his career at the Museum voor de Grafische Kunsten (Prentenkabinet) in The Hague in 1965, where he worked alongside Hans Locher. Broos was a prominent scholar of the 'Nieuwe Typografie' and authored numerous catalogs, books, and articles regarding Dutch and international graphic design. He is particularly known for his research on the collaborations between Piet Zwart and the PTT, and his extensive work on the graphic output of Dieter Roth. His publications often explore the intersection of art, science, and technology, particularly in the context of design history.[1,2,3]
