Maria Austria (born Marie Karoline Oestreicher) was a significant Austro-Dutch photographer known for her work in theater and documentary photography. She moved to Amsterdam in 1937 after training in Vienna. In 1945, she co-founded the Particam Pictures press agency with Henk Jonker and others. Her work is noted for its importance in post-war Dutch photography.[1,2,3]
