Martin Homann

Dr. Martin Homann is a lecturer in Sedimentology and a field geologist with expertise in Geobiology and the evolution of life on early Earth (starting ~3.5 billion years ago). He received his MSc in Geology from the University of Potsdam, Germany, in 2010 and his PhD in Sedimentology and Geobiology from the Free University of Berlin in 2016. He has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Western Brittany, France, and served as a lecturer at University College London (UCL) until late 2022. His research focuses on microbial mats, stromatolites, and ancient fluvial/marine ecosystems.[2,3]
