His writing style, which effectively blended industrial history with cultural and social narrative, was influential in documenting the growth of Dutch industry during the 20th century. In addition to his corporate biographies, he was a regular contributor to notable publications such as *De Groene Amsterdammer* and *Het Parool*, and he authored various novels and poems throughout his prolific career.[1,2]
