Otto Hahn (1928–1996) was a French art critic and essayist. He gained prominence as a defender of contemporary art movements such as conceptual art, Nouveau Réalisme, Pop Art, and figuration libre. Trained in literature, philosophy, and art history at the École du Louvre, he collaborated with 'Les Temps modernes' from 1960 to 1965 before becoming a literary and then an art critic, notably for L'Express. He is known for his extensive biographies of artists such as Arman, César, Masson, Spoerri, Sonderborg, Vasarely, and Di Rosa, often prioritizing the biographical form in his writings.[1,3,4,5]
