Robert Doisneau was a renowned French photographer celebrated for his ability to capture the daily life of Paris in the 20th century. A pioneer of street photography and a key figure in humanist photography, he is known for his documentary approach that captured fleeting, authentic moments with unique grace. Trained in engraving and lithography, he began his photographic career in the studio of Léon Ullmann. Throughout his career, he collaborated with major publications such as VOGUE and LIFE but primarily established himself as an independent photographer. His most iconic works include 'Le Baiser de l'Hôtel de Ville' (1950). He received numerous distinctions for his work, including the Kodak Prize in 1945.[1,2]
