De toekomst in uw handen (The Future in Your Hands) is a Dutch non-fiction work published in 1955. Written by A. den Doolaard with photography by Cas Oorthuys, the book addresses the existential and physical consequences of atomic development and the dawn of the atomic age. It explores the dangers of nuclear radiation, the potential for global catastrophe, and the necessity of collective human responsibility to prevent destruction. The work includes a variety of photographic images by Oorthuys and was published in cooperation with the Library of Peace in Oslo, founded by Dr. Max Tau.
