Fifty city photographs following a day from morning to evening, combined with poems by Lucebert; a separately issued reprint from the magazine Forum, 1959/60. dag en nacht - Vijftig Stadsfoto's van 's-ochtends tot 's-avonds met gedichten van Lucebert
Fifty black-and-white city photographs arranged to follow a day in the city, from morning to evening, each sequence paired with poems by the Dutch poet and painter Lucebert. The pictures are street and urban views, made as a loose sequence through the hours rather than as the work of a single photographer. The book is a poetry and photography collaboration, not a photographer's monograph. It is a reprint (overdruk) of a feature from issue 12 of the monthly magazine Forum, 1959/60, issued separately by G. van Saane under the imprint Lectura Architectonica in Hilversum. It runs to 40 pages in stitched softcover and was printed by Drukkerij en Uitgeverij v/h C. de Boer Jr. The Dutch title translates as Day and Night.
